Youth Ski League (Bill Koch)
The Bill Koch Youth Ski League is a cross-country ski program for boys and girls from 8 through 15 years old (7 and under are welcome with an adult). BKL was founded over 20 years ago by the United States Ski Association and is named for Bill Koch, the 1976 Olympic Silver medalist in the 30 kilometer event. The mission of the New England Bill Koch League is "to introduce young people to the lifelong sport of cross-country skiing with all of its recreational, social, fitness and competitive opportunities".
The club is the basic unit of organization for BKYSL. Windblown BKL meets regularly throughout the ski season to provide opportunities for kids to learn to ski and to improve their skills.
